The Promotion Risks Department is a subdivision of the Risk Management function at VBET, responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to promotional campaigns and marketing activities. This includes financial, reputational, and compliance-related risks that may arise during the planning, launch, and execution of promotional offers and campaigns.

The department works in close collaboration with Marketing team to ensure that all promotional content and mechanics adhere to internal standards and external regulatory requirements. The ultimate goal is to ensure the safe, fair, and compliant execution of marketing promotions while protecting the company from potential losses and penalties.
Main Functions of the Promotion Risks Department
- Risk assessment of promotional offers, campaigns, and bonuses before launch.
- Monitoring active promotions to identify suspicious or high-risk behavior (e.g., bonus abuse, fraud).
- Development of internal guidelines and policies for promotion setup and approval.
- Post-promotion analysis to identify weaknesses or loopholes and recommend improvements.
- Providing recommendations and restrictions to Marketing and Product teams to prevent risky promotional mechanics.
Working Responsibilities & Procedures
The department plays an important role in all stages of promotional campaign lifecycle:
Pre-launch review – all planned promotions are submitted for review. The team evaluates their mechanics, risk exposure, potential for abuse, and compliance with internal guidelines.
Launch monitoring – once promotions go live, the team tracks KPIs and user behavior to detect anomalies.
Investigation and reporting – in case of detected misuse or suspicious activity, the team initiates investigation, prepares reports, and coordinates with other departments for further action.
Policy creation and updates – based on promotion results and industry trends, the department regularly updates internal risk policies and scenarios.
Collaboration – daily communication with Risk Management, Marketing, Product, Legal, and Customer Support teams.

- Backoffice Systems – to analyze user activity and promotion engagement.
- Fraud Detection Tools (Umbrella alerts) – to flag suspicious activity.
